What this cube is
The non-magnetic MeiLong 8x8 in its third generation, which is three and a half millimetres smaller than the version before it and lighter with it. Screw-adjustable tension lets you set the puzzle precisely, reinforced structural stability handles the load a cube with this many pieces puts on its core, and the six-colour matte finish is semi-bright rather than glossy.
This is the cheaper route into 8x8 and it is a reasonable one if you are not yet sure about the format. Without magnets you will spend part of each solve straightening slices by hand, which on a puzzle this size adds up. If you already know you enjoy big cubes, buy the magnetic 8M instead.

great cube
This 8x8 cube is really impressive, and my son was thrilled the moment he got his hands on it. He loves collecting and solving cubes, so when I saw this one available on the store Vine, I knew I had to grab it for him—especially since it’s his very first 8x8. It definitely didn’t disappoint. The cube turns surprisingly well for its size, with smooth movement that makes solving more enjoyable instead of frustrating. My son immediately commented that it’s a good cube, and coming from him, that’s high praise. He’s be
Impressive 8x8 Puzzle Cube
I got this cube for my son, who can solve a traditional Rubik’s Cube with his eyes shut. He's been a bit stumped by this 8x8, but he’s absolutely loving the challenge. I was pleasantly surprised by just how high the quality of this cube is, especially considering its price point. The colors are integrated into the plastic pieces themselves--it’s not just stickers, which definitely elevates the quality in my opinion. Every piece moves smoothly, and nothing feels too loose or spins freely without control. I’m very i

What MoYu speed cubes are, in one paragraph
MoYu Culture — also known simply as MoYu — is a Chinese factory in Guangzhou that has been making speed cubes since 2008 and is famous among speedcubers for a tremendous release pace few rivals maintain. Cubing Classroom, generally sold as the MeiLong line, is its budget sub-brand; GuoGuan, SenHuan, MoJue and Cong sit alongside it inside the same group.
The flagship WeiLong is the single most notable example: it is the cube cubers reach for in competition, the one most often on the mat when a world record is set, and every upgrade carries real technology — a magnet count you can read off the box, MagLev tension, a ball core, a smoother and faster feel — rather than new artwork. A collection that began with one 3×3 — the puzzle most people still call a Rubik’s cube — now runs from 2×2 to 15×15, through shape puzzles like the Skewb and the Pyraminx, and into gift sets for beginners.
That is why MoYu stays popular with people who solve fast: big cube or small, the innovation sits in the layers where a solver can feel it, the turn stays stable, and the plastic keeps its look.
