    What this cube is

The same MeiLong 3M mechanism with a stand in the box, and a listing that is unusually honest about what the cube is: forty-eight magnetic particles, set up loose enough from the factory to be fast straight away, with the slick but not slippery plastic texture that makes this line pleasant to hold. Corner cutting is the quiet strength here, which is what keeps a cheap cube from locking under speed.

This is the version to buy if the cube is going to live somewhere visible. A stand sounds like a trivial addition until you watch a nine-year-old receive one; the cube becomes an object rather than a loose part. Mechanically it is identical to the plain MeiLong 3M.

    From the maker's listing

    • MAGNETIC ASSEMBLY KICK OFF THE RACING CARNIVAL - 48 precise magnetic particles for smooth, fast turnings. Precise positioning during turnings speed and passion at your fingertips
    • MAGNETIC FEEL CREATE EXPLOSIVE HIGH-SPEED PERFORMANCE - This cube is adjusted loose enough to be fast but tight enough to have good flickability. The magnets in it provide just enough catch to reliably full stop mine out of the box but, if you need to or want it to respond…
    • EXCELLENT CORNER-CUTTINGS - The plastic is vibrantly colored and the texture is slick but not slippery - If that makes sense. It's not super grippy but it's not super slippy.
    • GREAT GIFT - This is probably going to become your carry cube. For the price it would also be a great gift for someone just getting into cubing.

    Good cube for being cheap

The magnets aren't the best but it’s a really good working cube,I would buy a bunch of these if I were to do a challenge of solving a bunch of them

Cheap and better for a magnetic rubric cube

Magnet was placed as desired at the location for the speed movement which is comparably faster than the regular rubrics

    Great cube

Decent speed cube but I’m sure there are better but more expensive.

    Great one.

A nice cube. It's light, turns well and does NOT sound plasticy when you squeeze it.

What MoYu speed cubes are, in one paragraph

MoYu Culture — also known simply as MoYu — is a Chinese factory in Guangzhou that has been making speed cubes since 2008 and is famous among speedcubers for a tremendous release pace few rivals maintain. Cubing Classroom, generally sold as the MeiLong line, is its budget sub-brand; GuoGuan, SenHuan, MoJue and Cong sit alongside it inside the same group.

The flagship WeiLong is the single most notable example: it is the cube cubers reach for in competition, the one most often on the mat when a world record is set, and every upgrade carries real technology — a magnet count you can read off the box, MagLev tension, a ball core, a smoother and faster feel — rather than new artwork. A collection that began with one 3×3 — the puzzle most people still call a Rubik’s cube — now runs from 2×2 to 15×15, through shape puzzles like the Skewb and the Pyraminx, and into gift sets for beginners.

That is why MoYu stays popular with people who solve fast: big cube or small, the innovation sits in the layers where a solver can feel it, the turn stays stable, and the plastic keeps its look.
