What this cube is

The AoChuang V6 is the 5x5 counterpart to the AoSu V7 and shares its engineering. The standard version carries ninety-six outer track magnets, the six-hole integrated core that ties the centres together vertically, and the V-shaped piece sections that reduce the gaps a layer can snag in. On a puzzle with three inner slices per axis, that structural rigidity is what keeps the cube square under speed.

A good first flagship 5x5 and the version I would start with. The tracked builds above it add alignment force rather than build quality, and on a 5x5 the standard ninety-six magnet configuration is already enough to stop the drift that budget cubes suffer from through the pairing stage.

The king of budget 5x5s

I love this cube. The magnets are super snappy, the outer layers are fast and smooth, the inner layers are a good speed. It’s really stable and pop resistant. It’s not too heavy, and it’s super compact for a 5x5. It’s an amazing budget 5x5!

It's an okay 5x5, but just ok.

I didn't want to spend $40-$60 on a 5x5, so I bought the single track version. It turns pretty well, but if you are inexperienced with just popping pieces back in, when they pop out, which they often do, I recommend going with something higher end. That being said, I solve this thing many times per day. I really like it, so 4 stars.

What MoYu speed cubes are, in one paragraph

MoYu Culture — also known simply as MoYu — is a Chinese factory in Guangzhou that has been making speed cubes since 2008 and is famous among speedcubers for a tremendous release pace few rivals maintain. Cubing Classroom, generally sold as the MeiLong line, is its budget sub-brand; GuoGuan, SenHuan, MoJue and Cong sit alongside it inside the same group.

The flagship WeiLong is the single most notable example: it is the cube cubers reach for in competition, the one most often on the mat when a world record is set, and every upgrade carries real technology — a magnet count you can read off the box, MagLev tension, a ball core, a smoother and faster feel — rather than new artwork. A collection that began with one 3×3 — the puzzle most people still call a Rubik’s cube — now runs from 2×2 to 15×15, through shape puzzles like the Skewb and the Pyraminx, and into gift sets for beginners.

That is why MoYu stays popular with people who solve fast: big cube or small, the innovation sits in the layers where a solver can feel it, the turn stays stable, and the plastic keeps its look.
