What this cube is
The magnetic MeiLong 2M, with hidden magnets set so the magnetic distance is tuned rather than maximal, a built-in elasticity adjustment system, and stickerless ABS in place of applied stickers. It is a small, light, quick puzzle that settles into alignment on its own, which on an event where good solves finish in a handful of seconds is most of what you want from the hardware.
This is the default 2x2 recommendation and has been for a while. It costs very little more than the non-magnetic version and the consistency the magnets add is noticeable from the first solve. Unless 2x2 is your main event, this is where the sensible money stops.

Good enough for the price, magnet versions are better if your going for speed, but this is good for practice.

MoYu Culture — also known simply as MoYu — is a Chinese factory in Guangzhou that has been making speed cubes since 2008 and is famous among speedcubers for a tremendous release pace few rivals maintain.
